i am done with zombie movies!

seriously. the last 3 movies have scarred me. my all-time scary movie has been "event horizon" for the longest time. now it has been replaced with "28 weeks later." i haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate that movie with a passion.

"shaun of the dead" was pretty bad too. then tonight i add "i am legend." i don't want to spoil the movie but the sad part towards the end made me cry a lot. i think what i do is put myself in their position. that's what makes me so upset. like in "28 weeks later", i was so emotionally distraught at the beginning of the movie. his actions totally disgusted and scared me at the same time.

why am i even blogging this? it must be my fear of the zombies. blaaah.

call me a grinch,

but i can't wait for sxsw to be over. i guess i'm not that cool to enjoy music-loving, drunk hipsters as far as the eye can see.

i think mono has made me grouchy.

dress shopping was a success!

i just got back from dress shopping with nory. out of all the dresses, i found 3 i am in love with. i can't post them here because nosy matt reads this every one in awhile. sorry.

they are so amazing though. and i fit into all the floor samples, so i got to see what they really looked like on. hooray for mono!

besides being sick..

i'm really not doing much of anything. i have been working on crocheting a blanket, but i ran out of yarn. jo-ann's is also out of the yarn so i have to order it online. blah. matt picked out some yarn today and now he wants me to make him a blanket. so that's my new project for the moment.

i'm just laying around, losing weight and looking yellow. i'm suffering from extreme heartburn when i eat. i get these sharp pains all around my boobs. it only happens after i eat, so guess what? i'm not gonna eat.

we just saw juno. it was very good. i like movies like that. kinda bittersweet.

we are meeting with a possible florist wednesday. then we will decide between our djs this week and almost have the majority of vendors booked. all i need to do is find a dress, and order the invitations ( i already have them picked out.) maybe rent some linens and that really should be it for awhile. then i can sleep.

for the past 2 weeks i have been suffering from extreme fatigue. of course when you have a history of anxiety/panic attacks this isn't a good thing. i finally bit the bullet and got some blood work done.

turns out i have mono. interesting..... wanna learn about my disease?

what an interesting world we live in...

-when we use blogs to show our ignorance.
-when we act like high school.
-when we think we are harmonious with the world and actually have no meaning of oneself.
-when we blog about our boss on myspace.
-when we think it will make an impact in any way whatsoever (besides this blog entry.)

i feel pity for you. pity for your ridiculous words. i pray i never act like you when i am 47. i hope you got some sort of satisfaction out of that rant of yours because i did.

i just saved $160. 2 names off the wedding list. thank you.

scary thought

i decided a week or so to publicly acknowledge i have a blog when asked. i think i added my addy to yelp and a few craft sites. i've noticed lately that my counter has GREATLY increased. so hooray for more traffic.

who is actually reading this? i wonder. is my blog somewhat interesting? if i stumbled across it, would i give it a second glance?

nah.

best article i've read this month

Gay Babies

Seth MacFarlane: 'Stewie Griffin Gay, And The Parents TV Council Can Blow Me If They Don't Like It'

The Advocate cornered Seth MacFarlane, the multi-talented creator of venerable envelope-nudging Fox animated hit The Family Guy, for an off-the-velvet-cuff conversation about how homosexuality figures into his own brand of flashback-reliant comedy. Despite an affection for musical numbers that would suggest otherwise, MacFarlane is straight. Still, he's had the opportunity to explore his same-sex-loving side through his voicing of Family favorite Stewie, who's evolved in recent seasons from a nefarious infant hellbent on world domination, into perhaps the only TV diaper-pooper grappling with his own sexual identity. Some highlights from the highly entertaining exchange follow, including a graphic proposition for frequently outraged Family-monitors, The Parents Television Council:

The Advocate: The Parents Television Council voted the episode, along with many others, "Worst TV Show of the Week." Do you appreciate that honor?

Seth MacFarlane: Oh, yeah. That's like getting hate mail from Hitler. They're literally terrible human beings. I've read their newsletter, I've visited their website, and they're just rotten to the core. For an organization that prides itself on Christian values--I mean, I'm an atheist, so what do I know?--they spend their entire day hating people. They can all suck my dick as far as I'm concerned.

my saturday night project

so i bailed on a late night concert at emo's in 28 degree weather to stay at home and make this babydoll.

she was supposed to be a completely different hat but the head round was too wide and my puffy stitches were too many. i went ahead and turned her into a slouchy!

geez i look so emo in the pic. i had to take it myself in the bathroom hence the "myspace profile pic" look.

FYI...using your iphone to take self-pics in not easy.

crochet crazy

here are some more projects i did a few weeks ago. i've been working on some more intensive hats/gloves so i haven't completed much. but don't you worry. i will be done soon.

i like to call this one the OSU pom pom hat. matt has to wear it every game for good luck.

i really don't like this one on me. i might give this away as i'm not 100% happy about the ear flaps.
