No ACL Sunday

We were too tired and lazy. Plus it was damn hot outside. So we went to the Drafthouse and saw Broken Flowers with Bill Murray. It was a good movie.

I'm off today and it's hot outside. I will go to the Springs today! Oh yes I will.

ACL Saturday

Ok, let's see. Who did we see? Aqualung, South Austin Jug Band, Buddy Guy, Bruce Robison and Drive-by Truckers. It was a hot, hot day. We were exhausted so Bob invited us back to his place for cheesesticks, queso and rum runners. How could we refuse? We also made a pit stop to the Springs and jumped in (except Sarah and Orly.) I took off my skirt and splashed my way in. Sarah took a really good boobie picture that I will add when I get. Boy that water was freezing! Anyways, we had a great time. To top things off, we drove by Popeyes for some chicken afterwards. Damn I love that chicken from Popeyes!!

ACL Friday

The weather wasn't too bad. The crowds weren't either. But those beer prices.....4$ for a can of Amstel Light is robbery! Whatcha gonna do about it?

Some of the bands we saw last night were The Igunana's from New Orleans, Lucinda Williams, Thievery Corporation, and Lyle Lovitt. Thievery rocked, as expected. This was my first time to see them and I was impressed. I have all their cds. I'm cool like that already. Everyone else was good....Lyle kinda put me to sleep but I still enjoyed him. Overall, Friday was a pretty good day. We hung out with Sarah, Orly, Ryan, Elizabeth and Tennessee Bob.

Today should be even better! Party at the PoodleDog Lounge afterward 10PM folks!

Oh Rita!

Geez....what a weekend bummer. I was excited for the rain but now it looks more serious. Matt is out filling my car with gas and buying supplies at HEB. If Saturday is scary we plan on having a hurricane party. That's right folks....we are equipped with spaghettios....bottled water....hurricane ritas....and propane. You can't beat that folks.

Even though this weather is not good news....I fucking love severe weather. This gives me my moment to shine since I am brimming with weather knowledge. If you did not know this, yours truly is ga-ga for weather. I like to consider myself an amateur meterologist. Tracking Rita has been quite entertaining and oddly erotic for me.

Ugh hospitals....

I'm sitting the in the lobby of the Round Rock hospital. My dad was nice enough to bring his laptop so I could work on my homework while I wait. It's quite interesting to watch the employees and sick people come in and out. I'll probably be here for many more hours. My mom goes in for surgery in 15 minutes. I'm pretty nervous for her. But hopefully all goes well. She has already given me instructions to take her cat if she dies. Is it wrong to feed a cat to a dog? Seriously, her cat is pure evil and I bet Sue would get indigestion....or she would probably attempt to eat Sue.

It was a sad night in Colombus...

Haha UT won and OSU lost. We had fun celebrating it...Nory, Kim and I. Too bad the male stripper refused to be in pictures! He said he was camera shy.
