What lovely weather we are having

Yes, it is 63 degress inside our house. Can you believe it? Texas weather kills me. Anyways, I have the day off. Very exciting for me. Tomorrow is TX/OU weekend. The Fabulous Four are meeting at the Steens for early morning mimosas and breakfast. Then we are heading to Cody and Jessica's for some grilling, beer and game watching. We would love to go downtown but I doubt we have the stamina. Such things happen in our old age. But, I am excited to have a nice, relaxing alcoholic weekend to look forward too.

Our 2 year anniversary is coming up on Wednesday. Matt has to leave me that day and travel back home for the rest of the week. What will Dawn do? I better not sit at this damn computer all weekend. Maybe I will finish some books and get back into the gym. Haha...as if! These new meds have made me super lazy and fatigued. I never have energy anymore. The gym seems like 45 miles away. I'll just drink my diet tea and shit the pounds away.

No ACL Sunday

We were too tired and lazy. Plus it was damn hot outside. So we went to the Drafthouse and saw Broken Flowers with Bill Murray. It was a good movie.

I'm off today and it's hot outside. I will go to the Springs today! Oh yes I will.

ACL Saturday

Ok, let's see. Who did we see? Aqualung, South Austin Jug Band, Buddy Guy, Bruce Robison and Drive-by Truckers. It was a hot, hot day. We were exhausted so Bob invited us back to his place for cheesesticks, queso and rum runners. How could we refuse? We also made a pit stop to the Springs and jumped in (except Sarah and Orly.) I took off my skirt and splashed my way in. Sarah took a really good boobie picture that I will add when I get. Boy that water was freezing! Anyways, we had a great time. To top things off, we drove by Popeyes for some chicken afterwards. Damn I love that chicken from Popeyes!!

ACL Friday

The weather wasn't too bad. The crowds weren't either. But those beer prices.....4$ for a can of Amstel Light is robbery! Whatcha gonna do about it?

Some of the bands we saw last night were The Igunana's from New Orleans, Lucinda Williams, Thievery Corporation, and Lyle Lovitt. Thievery rocked, as expected. This was my first time to see them and I was impressed. I have all their cds. I'm cool like that already. Everyone else was good....Lyle kinda put me to sleep but I still enjoyed him. Overall, Friday was a pretty good day. We hung out with Sarah, Orly, Ryan, Elizabeth and Tennessee Bob.

Today should be even better! Party at the PoodleDog Lounge afterward 10PM folks!
