I HATE

going into work around 7am to do a job that is NOT even mine. I HATE ANN TAYLOR SO MUCH!!!!!! OH yah...our big 40% starts today. Oops, I'm not supposed to mention that to anyone. Like I care. There....now 2 people know. HA!

Barton Springs...I love you.

Spent the early afternoon at the Springs on a floaty. Mmmmmm nice. Then we headed to Crate and Barrel...bought a lovely wine rack that matches our dining table, bought some green placemats and napkins. Then we stopped by Linens and Things and picked up some goodies at Whole Foods. I feel cheated since I only had today off. I have to head in tomorrow at 7:30am!! UGH. But at least I am off by 4pm. Matt's game is tomorrow night. I hope he can play and not injure himself. That would not be good.

Let the diet begin!

I know I am always on some form of a diet but today begins my new crash diet for the next week. My mission is to lose 5-10 lbs by Friday. But I'm not just starving myself....I will eat AND workout. I went today (hooray!) and hopefully I'll get up tomorrow before work (YES I actually have to work a Saturday shift 1-10) and pump some iron. I really enjoy working out but getting there is the problem. I also enjoy laying on the floor or typing on the computer. But once I get my ass motivated I am very happy to be there and I work up a good sweat. Well....next weekend is the BIG river trip and I'm fat. Hence the diet. Why can't I just float the river with sweats?

It's raining. I am so happy. My yard is happy...my plants are happy.....so are the trees! I hope it lasts for at least an hour. That is all I ask. And for Hurricane Dennis to land in the Gulf and wreck havoc on our fair city. Havoc = mass amounts of rain.

Do we chance it?

Well, our plans for the 4th is a sweet day at Pace Bend Park with the Fabulous Four. I have been many times before but not on the 4th weekend. We are hoping to get a spot with a grill (primative camping area) but I am worried they may already be booked and then what? So I tried to call them today but no one is there. None of us have any problems getting there very early but I hope its not in vain and we can find a place to grill out and swim for the day.

I don't have to work till Tuesday. Isn't that fucking awesome? I'm going over to Nory's apt complex and swimming most of the day tomorrow and then we will grill out at the pool that night. Matt's dad and brother are coming down till Sunday so who knows what else we will do. Hopefully we will attend Norm's pool party on Saturday. I have a feeling I will get wonderful amounts of sun and fun.....I hope.

Good times

this Saturday. We visited Parker and Lisa in New Braunfels and stayed overnight. We all got pretty shitty and visited many bars/dumps/dives in NB. I never knew how trashy that town really is. But trashy can be fun and it WAS! The Hoity Toity was by far my favorite dive that night. We played 3 rounds of shuffleboard and the boys beat us....barely.

Luckily, Parker and Lisa offered up their place for all of us to stay for Matt's river bday trip. That is wonderful news....and we will all be saving money on lodgings and now spending more on beer. Too bad fucking Jake has a faggy ass reunion to attend. You suck Jake. But he will be missing out, along with Nory and Keith and all my friends. That's ok though. I will miss peeing on Jake though. Maybe next time.
