It's pretty late

and I'm still up. What gives? Well I am up reading on bridal shower ideas since I am throwing Kim one. I never knew how much effort goes into a shower. I guess I will now huh? I have some great ideas and I ran them by Kim tonight and she agrees. HOORAY for Dawn! Now if I could just relax and NOT stress over it.....it will be fun...I will be creative....everyone will enjoy themselves! Right?

I get to pick out the shoes I want. I'm happy about that because one of the bridesmaids did not agree with my choice of shoe since her feet are fat. Oh well....it's not like our feet will be showing anyways.

I took the day off today. It's nice to be able to actually do that when I need it. We had our MAJOR VP visit on Wednesday. I'm not sure how to really rank it but it was very stressful and has been gnawing away at my soul for about 3 weeks. I am so glad its over. Hopefully everyone at work can now relax and de-stress. No more being at the store by 7am and leaving at 2am. (Thank God they didn't ask me to pull those shifts!) But Kim and Nancy did it for 2 days I believe.

I'm really burned out and disgruntled lately. I come home everyday hating my job...wishing I had an actual career that pays nicely. Pot is only a temporary solution. I have no energy to go work out (which is NOT good!) I hope Veronica works diligently to find me a new job before all my hair turns gray and Matt leaves me for a hot black chick.

I hope this weekend is very relaxing and filled with many beers and many smokes! Pray for me.

Now this article made my heart lift up and shout with glee. I hate hate hate hate that Paris and if this article proves truthful, my heart might blow with pure joy and happiness.

I talked to Veronica today and she told me she had finished tweaking my resume and found me a job at Dell. Now she just needs to make sure there are positions open in that department. That's very exciting to me. But I will not get my hopes up just yet. But I can't stop day dreaming about not being at AT any longer. I will miss the majority of the girls, but Cade and Kim are planning on moving into a new apt. complex around the 360 area so we can be neighbors.

Kim called me after work to let me know the dresses are in. I'll be picking mine up Friday. I hope I fit into it. Actually I hope its big so I can get it tailored. Even though I would be spending money, it will let me see the weight I have lost since the fitting. I've been trying to stick with the working out, but it has been hard since work has been picking up for me. All I have to do is think of Matt's bday weekend (we are going tubing with his friends) and suddenly I have energy to work out! Like now....time for crunches

It's time to party!

Yes indeed it is. We went to the store, bought all the good food and now all we have to do is shower and start drinking. We were busy bees today. Matt hung the mirror over the dining table, mowed the lawn again (it really didn't need it), cleaned the glass doors, and did some work stuff. I, of course, cleaned the house, did the dishes, cleaned up my bathroom and washed out Sue's nasty doghouse and messed with my blog. Interesting stuff today huh? Hopefully I will take some fun pictures and THEN it will become interesting to view. Matt is planning to make his "world famous" mint juleps. Mmmmmm.

Mmmm Flores es mucho gusto!

Yep. We just ate dinner at Flores and it was good! They have $2.50 margaritas all day on Thursday. They were pretty good and the server was super attentive but not too obtrusive. I do enjoy El Arroyo Thursday maragritas but it's always way too crowded for my taste.

I have tomorrow off so I'm thinking Barton Springs all day long. I love that cold water. Plus I can lay out for hours and hours and not get bored. Maybe take Sue out for a run and me a snowcone. Who knows? I really should be cleaning the house for our shindig Saturday. WE shall see.

I can't cook

so Kim gave me a recipe for meatballs. I just got back from HEB and I hope hope this will end up being edible spaghetti and meatballs. FUCK! I just forgot the fucking french bread. See? I burn cereal and I have no short term memory. Fucking pot.

What a fucked up day....

Matt and Cade play in a softball league on Monday nights....so we all attended the game last night. Before the game, Cade hits Matt in the face with a softball (accident of course.) I can tell from the stands that his lip is swollen/bleeding. But he keeps on playing (what a trooper!)

Then as the game is wrapping up (they are winning!) Matt somehow runs for 1st base and twists/pops his hamstring. He keeps on playing but I can tell he is in pain. Anyways, his lip is very swollen/busted and he can barely walk on his leg. Of course he went to work today and doesn't have time to go to the doctor. I'm not pleased at all. I told him to make an appointment and he didn't. Hopefully he heads to the ARC on Far West after work and at least somebody can look at him. I think he may have torn a ligament/muscle/tendon.

My mom wants to quit her chemo so my dad called me up at work and asked me to reason with her. I called her and we had a good talk. Good thing my dad gave me plenty of information/ammo because she had many reasons to quit. But I hope she listens to my advice (and the doctors too.) She promised to re-schedule her appointment for tomorrow and talk to her doctor before she quits the trial. Her doctor better do his fucking job and show her the positives of sticking to the trial....because I'm not 100% sure she will listen to me or dad.

Just got back

from my parents in good ole RR. It was nice. My dad cooked us some t-bones and used this new rub and it was way too salty. I felt bad for him because I know how men are with their meat (haha), but I know next time will be better. My mom is doing well. She said she is actually getting some hair growth in....hooray! Hopefully after the trial she will be sporting fuzz.

Family Guy and American Dad were quite funny tonight. I love Sunday night animation block.

It's HOT

yowsaaaaa...it's hot. I love to lay out topless. It's one of those fine pleasures I have never gotten to experience. Laying out topless, misters going, cold beer in my hand and my pipe o' weed sure makes Dawnita happy. Matt just bought a lawn mower...that's super. He just mowed the lawn too. I think my boobs may be red.

So I'm doing abs with the yoga ball...watching the Simpsons and Colotte jumps up on my legs and proceeds to sit on my lap, ruining my workout. Well, lucky for me I had the camera close by so I took pictures because I have a sick obsession for my cat. I love her too much and own way too many pictures of her doing things like yawning or licking herself. I know I know...

No work?

Yep...today our shipment truck broke down and would not be fixed by today. So there is no shipment for me to work on. But that's ok. I recommended to Kim she let me go and I would work on Saturday until its all done. I tried to lay out today but the sun was hit or miss. So I did laundry and went to work out instead. After sweating, I went to the snow cone place and got a small one. Was that bad? I wonder if they are fattening? Probably so.....everything I enjoy is fattening.

So we decide to grill out today with Kim and Cade. They taught us to play poker and we had a drunken good time. Good thing the steaks were done before the rain hit. We got dime- sized hail an hr or so ago....Nice. It's still lightning outside and Matt has passed out on the couch. Well, it is our Saturday.
I gave Colotte a bath and painted Sue's nails aqua blue. Both of them look fabulous now.

I'm sorry. I haven't "blogged" in quite some time. No more!!! I will keep up with my blogging...oh yes I will.

Last night we went to the Draught Horse for Jake's bday. We had a good time. I drove us home in the rain, which proved to be difficult. But damn, that was some hard ass rain. Glad we didn't get wet outside the Horse.

I posted a photo blog on MySpace. It is fucking hilarious. Matt helped me with the names and comments and I worked on the code. Brilliant.
